What primary rhinoplasty means
Primary rhinoplasty refers to the first operation on the nose. It may change the bridge, tip, nostrils, nasal bones, cartilage support, or airway structures. Klinikal planning commonly reviews the face as a whole: skin thickness, cartilage strength, nasal length, projection, ethnic background, and breathing are evaluated together.
When evaluation may be discussed
Educationally, evaluation often includes whether facial growth is complete, general health can be assessed for anesthesia, expectations are realistic, and the requested changes can be achieved without weakening the nose. Breathing symptoms, previous trauma, allergies, and septal deviation are part of preoperative clinical discussion.
How planning works
Planning usually includes photo analysis, nasal examination, review of breathing, and discussion of open versus closed technique. A side-profile simulation can help communicate goals, but it is not a guarantee of the surgical result.
İyileşme expectations
Most patients experience swelling, congestion, bruising, and pressure early on. Cast or splint removal is commonly around the first week, while refinement continues for months. Tip swelling can take longer, especially in thicker skin.
Riskler and limitations
Bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, asymmetry, persistent obstruction, septal perforation, dissatisfaction with appearance, anesthesia risks, and need for revision surgery are possible.
