Ethnic rhinoplasty is not one technique. It means planning nose surgery around the patient’s facial identity, skin type, nasal framework, cultural goals, and airway function.
A respectful planning principle
The point is not to erase identity or copy another face. Planning generally aims to preserve harmony with the eyes, lips, cheeks, chin, and ethnicity while improving the specific concerns the patient wants addressed.
Skin and cartilage matter
Thicker skin may limit fine tip definition and can take longer to settle. Softer cartilage may need support rather than aggressive reduction. Low bridge, wide bones, alar shape, and tip projection are assessed case by case.

Functional evaluation
Breathing, septal deviation, turbinate size, and nasal valve support remain important. A refined nose also needs to remain stable and functional.
Riskler and limitations
Riskler include over-narrowing, loss of ethnic character, inadequate support, visible asymmetry, persistent swelling, breathing problems, and dissatisfaction if expectations are not aligned.
